Customer Reviews
Love this tea!,
Until recently, I had an English boss got me hooked on the English and Irish tea - and I am eternally grateful! Almost any British tea I've tried is much better than anything off the shelves in U.S. markets.
PG Tips is the best selling tea in England - and no wonder! Just open the box and take a good whiff. I have not found his match in Lipton, Luzianne (usually died on the vine), and Rose Red - and that's just the fragrance unbrewed! But wait "until you taste: a taste much richer, deeper, stronger than any American supermarket tea. No, not PG Tips tea is high quality, but have yet to find a top quality tea that I like .
Note: The entire British tea is stronger than that of America - probably in order to stand up to milk that virtually all the English drink tea in - so I recommend starting with one teaspoon of loose tea with 10 oz of water and let stand for 3-4 minutes, then adjust the strength of there.
The only thing I dislike about this tea is the small size of the leaves. Unfortunately, most people prefer tea bags now, making a dull and often bitter beer. Because that's where the demand is, most of the tea leaves do not bother with more whole. Treatment is more labor intensive, and since the powdered leaves are cut to fit drawing bag, why bother? This whole process produces no leaves, so even the tea in bulk of non-premium brands like PG Tips is strictly mutilated leaf flakes. Still, its bulk tea it better hot or iced tea from their bags.
Of course, buy some PG. And wave goodbye to Lipton!
Best tea available,
This tea is steeping tasty, robust and very fast. The leaves are very thin that require a fine mesh strainer area, but the small size of the leaves is the secret of the flavor and strength of the resulting beverage. Quickly use boiling water, hot tea, pour boiling water on quickly on the leaves and let stand a few minutes. Use milk if you like, and quickly gulp. Oh yummy! These tea leaves well do more cups per pound than any other brand I've tried, so it is cheaper to use Lipton loose leaf tea, and has better flavor and develops faster. If you like tea, you can not go wrong with PG Tips.
Good,
Great tea! I use Lipton Loose Tea, 8-ounce boxes (pack of 6) most of the time, but was not in stock, so I bought it. It is loose tea, but not really like the leaves of Lipton. It's more like pleas. There is a very strong tea. I use it for sweet iced tea and the use of two balls (you have to use 3 tablespoons Lipton) and is delicious over ice. Very highly recommended.
tea snob,
I am a tea snob. I just buy the tea in England and filling the suitcase back home from my visit. PG Tips is the best. I've tried them all and the one that comes close is the area of Yorkshire. I do not make tea bags and do not taste. Just made a stong "stew" tea and PG is the best. Tea tastes like pure, without nuance.
full bodied tea,
This is a full-bodied tea that I use in my French press - they usually do not like loose leaf tea for the mess of tea leaves - but a French press avoids clutter and I can not believe you waited so long - This tea is great and is very strong - a little goes a long way
My life is complete!!,
After moving to the U.S. of England for 22 years, PG Tips tea has been found one of my biggest challenges. Now I do not have to beg friends and family to bring tea trip to England, nor do I have to drive 60 miles to find loose leaf tea more expensive and beyond the expiration date.
Tea, tea everywhere,
Always had trouble finding loose PG Tips in the U.S., which finally appeared for this manifold, and I have no complaint - who arrived quickly and was well packaged and fresh taste, not to mention a good deal. Of course, a month later, my local grocer began half loose PG Tips. And tea enough for at least a year. sigh.
Great tea! Great price!,
This is the product from Amazon I will highly recommend to others. My husband used to take traditional English tea for himself. Trust me. I will never compromise the quality of any tea! We had to spend some money at the supermarket. Praise the Lord that we find it on Amazon. Make a Subscription to get better treatment:)
Spot on,
Other reviewers have described the taste and quick soak aspects of this tea. I totally agree. After several months the use of Twinings tea bags I was pleasantly surprised to return to drinking strong tea in the morning.
Best Quality Tea,
This tea is best for your money ... Bulk packaging remains low cost. loose tea makes a stronger drink and be stern at will ... i clean beer in my coffee, and drink only hot tea. Recommendations for the serious tea drinker ... excellent quality and flavor!
